The Opportunity
A game changing tax management software and services company came to Sommita seeking advice on creating an IP voice and data network infrastructure capable of supporting its explosive corporate growth and the rising demands of its expanding customer base.
The Strategy
Leveraging experience gained by working with companies at this critical stage of their corporate growth trajectory, Sommita quickly identified the need for an efficient and expandable wide area network platform that also allowed this company to fine tune their data flow through quality of service prioritization.
The Result
The island-based company has grown to more than 700 employees in offices around the country and now the world.
When Sommita was recommended to consult with a small, island-based software company in Puget Sound, we met a company who was working on market-altering technology and one on the precipice of a meteoric rise. Squished into two small office buildings on an island in the Puget Sound, just outside of Seattle, they needed help envisioning a corporate voice and data communications network that could provide the performance and scalability their growing company demanded. We worked closely with their executive IT staff and network engineers and mapped out a high-performance MPLS network – connectivity offices and data centers around the country.
And, eventually, around the world.
Sommita has continued to support their expansion into Europe and South America. Playing a key role in the project management of one corporate headquarter move we are now on the precipice of supporting them through another even larger one by managing multiple network services vendors through a fiber infrastructure build out. We have also supported the increased discipline in security by adding managed security services (DDoS – dedicated denial of service) for both internal and external network protection.
